What does a breast form cost?Silicone forms are subsidized by the Ontario Ministry of Health. As your purchase for a breast prosthesis is paid in full at the time of your fitting, we will supply you with the application for your OHIP reimbursement. Coverage for a full prosthesis is $195; coverage for a partial is $105. The balance may be claimed through private insurance or income tax reimbursements. Coverage is also available through the City of Ottawa and First Nation.

Can you order a bra or breast form in my size?Absolutely! If you don't see what you're looking for in store, we will order in your size. We can also take the time to properly fit you to ensure that your size is exact.

When should I get a new prothesis?It is recommended that you get a new prosthesis every two years. Breast forms have a life expectancy of 2 years. ADP and most private insurances grant you an allowable for a new prosthesis every 2 years.

How much money will I receive back?If you require one full breast prosthesis, you will receive $195. If you require two full prostheses, you will receive $390. If you require one partial breast prosthesis, you will receive $105. If you require two partial prostheses, you will receive $210. If you are receiving social assistance benefits under Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program or Assistance to Children with Severe Disabilities, you are eligible to receive $260 for each full prosthesis and $140 for each partial prosthesis. Check all of the applicable boxes in the section entitled “Confirmation of Eligibility” on the application form.
